CU Boulder welcomes Nicole Walker, who will do a reading of her works on loving and losing the Earth, hope and sorrow.
Dr Walker is a creative nonfiction writer, expressing with sensitivity and humor the contradictions and ironies that we all face on a changing planet.
Her most recent book is Sustainability: A Love Story.

Dr. Walker is Professor of English at Northern Arizona University where she serves as Program Director for the MFA in Creative Writing. Her works include Sustainability: A Love Story (2018) and, with David Carlin, the recently-released The After-Normal: Brief, Alphabetical Essays on a Changing Planet (2019). She has previously published Where t he Tiny Things Are (2017), Egg (2017), Micrograms (2016), and Quench Your Thirst with Salt (2013). She is the co-president of NonfictioNOW, the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts award, and a noted author in Best American Essays.
