Most of the land in North America is made of grasslands, prairies, and rangelands. This vital ecosystem provides clean water, wildlife habitat, forage, recreation, open space, deters floods, as well as being essential to carbon sequestration.
However, for these systems to function well they must be healthy.

The event with begin with a presentation from Bobby Gill of the Savory Institute who will showcase the global prominence of grasslands and the ever increasing need to take care of these precious lands.
Pat Shaver, Mike Pellant, and Jeff Herrick will provide real life examples of understanding the principals of rangeland health and help give us a greater understanding of indicators of healthy grasslands.
Lastly you will not want to miss the enlightening presentation from Fred Provenza, the author of “Nourishment”, as he ties together how we are interconnected to the landscape.
