Boulder Rights of Nature Heart to Heart Program
Honoring the Solstice, Honoring the Earth
Time: Thur Jun 20 6pm – 8:30 pm
Place: Deer Valley Road trailhead
“Heart to Heart”, a Boulder Rights of Nature sub-committee, will lead a Summer Solstice hike and contemplative Nature experience.
We will walk up to one of Boulder’s enchanting mesas, from the Skunk Canyon trailhead on Deer Valley Road.
We will visit a site on the mesa, where we will take some time in meditation and guided visualization together to honor the changing season of the Summer Solstice.
We will also honor our beautiful Earth, our ancestors and the Native nations of Boulder Valley.
Francesca Howell and Yan Chun Su will co-lead the program.
Drums and rattles for singing/making music are welcome; hiking shoes, water and insect repellent are very recommended.
Meet at 6 pm at the Deer Valley Road trailhead in South Boulder.
From downtown going south on Broadway, just past the NIST/NOAA complex, turn right/west to Dartmouth Ave, after 0.2 miles, turn left on Kohler Drive, after 0.8 miles, Kohler Drive ends and turn right to Deer Valley Road. You will see us waiting at the Skunk Canyon Trailhead just down the road.
If people wish to car pool, please contact Yan to plan an alternate meeting place: firstname.lastname@example.org.
